Control the standup timer without touching your mouse

Shortcuts are active only during a running standup. They won't interfere with Asana's own keyboard shortcuts when the standup is idle.

Behavior Details

Space — Pause / Resume

Toggles the countdown timer. When paused, the timer freezes at the current value. The speaker's total time still accumulates for the summary.

+ or = — Add Speaker Time

Instantly extends the current speaker's countdown timer without breaking the standup flow. Helpful when a speaker needs extra seconds to conclude their updates.

Arrow Right — Next Speaker

Advances to the next person in the queue. The current speaker's elapsed time is saved and the timer resets (or restores if they've spoken before).

Arrow Left — Previous Speaker

Goes back to the previous speaker. Their timer resumes from where it was paused. Only available after the first speaker transition.

S — Skip Speaker

Marks the current speaker as "skipped" and moves to the next. Skipped speakers show as "Skipped" in the summary instead of a time value.

Escape — Stop / Dismiss

If the timer duration picker is open, Escape closes it without stopping the standup. Otherwise, it ends the standup entirely and shows the summary.
